Maya is a rising senior at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, where she is majoring in International Politics with a certificate in African studies and minoring in History.  She spent last fall studying abroad in Gaborone, Botswana. She is a board member of her university’s chapter of College Democrats and is a member of the School of Foreign Service’s DEI committee in the academic council. In addition to her interest in politics and international relations, she enjoys playing tennis with friends and exploring the food scene in Washington, D.C.
